Most of us do not become over weight until we are 'trained' not to waste food. Breastfed infants are rarely overweight because mothers cannot produce more milk than infants want to eat (infants usually fall asleep after nursing & mom immediately stops producing milk so infant cannot eat more than necessary.
We eat whatever we crave because cravings may be our body's signal that our sodium or glucose levels are low. Both sodium & glucose are important nutrients, low levels can cause serious medical conditions
